A dirty or dry cap lets white ink dry on the nozzle face. Overnight drying is the most common cause of permanent white-channel drop-out.
Never use paper towels — lint fibers clog nozzles. Use only lint-free wipes.

Move the carriage to the home / locked position.
Inspect the capping station seal for ink crust or debris.
Dampen a lint-free wipe with cleaning solution.
Gently wipe the seal and wiper blade — never touch the printhead face directly.
Confirm the cap seals against the head with light resistance.
